The Last of It

8:54 AM

On Tuesday we fly out of Vienna International airport to NYC and effectively end the European adventure we started nine months ago. We've been staying in Vienna the last few days in an attempt to cram a few last bits of sightseeing before we leave the continent and so here's the last few sights of our trip.

Of course we couldn't leave Europe without peeking into one last extravagant church. This one had all the bells and whistles (literally) with a choir singing as all us tourists gaped at the ceilings. Logically, our next stop was the American diner down the street from our hotel.

Since we hadn't planned our sightseeing so well in Prague and missed touring their national library, we thought Vienna's was the next best thing. It took us awhile to navigate the buildings entrances to find the library's state hall especially since there seemed to be some sort of military festival happening. We're not sure on the exact details but know there was too many tanks and too many men dressed in full uniform for this to be a normal weekend.

Once inside it was back to gaping at ceilings.

Next up was the Globe and Esperanto museum which featured a Esperanto themed Pacman gaming console. Clearly the museum wasn't the most popular tourist destination, as I'm terrible at Pacman and I easily put up the highest score.

Over the course of our trip, mostly thanks to Winry and also to our laziness, we haven't frequented many museums or any buildings that you have to be inside to admire. So now we're finally able to check that off the list!

Hope you're ready for us America,
H W Z
